SERVICES IN THE STATE OF MAINE
Residential Resources of Maine (RRM) Provides support for individuals
with Acquired Brain Injuries, Mental Retardation, Developmental
Disabilities, Lesch Nyhan and Myotonic Dystrophy.
RRM provides support in a variety of settings such as: twenty-four
hour group homes, Individual Support Options (ISO) or outreach.
RRM offers additional trainings in the following areas:
Mandt (Crisis Prevention Training) - A program
of instruction focusing on how to effectively identify and respond
to a potential crisis in caring, supportive, professional manner.
CRMA (Certified Medication Administration Authorization)
- Maine State regulations and Residential Resources of Maine
policies and procedures, curriculum review in classroom setting,
passage of general medication administration tests, seven ‘rights’,
brief overview of anatomy and physiology, vital signs, passage
of medication test, clinical observation of medication administration
skills.
State of Maine Mental Retardation Curriculum
- Mandatory State curriculum developed to train and prepare
staff to work effectively with the MR population. Topics range
from Guardianship to Health and Safety to Overview of the DD
system in Maine.
